WOLFPAC INTERVIEW

"You have seen them on tour destroying the stage with the likes of The Insane Clown Posse, KottonMouth Kings, Twiztid, Gwar, Slipknot and more! You have witnessed their madness on "The Howard Stern Show" and heard the only appearance to ever been banned from Satellite Radio when they appeared "The Opie and Anthony Show"!" Former founding BloodHound Gang front man and foundign WOLFPAC Member Daddy Long Legs took some time out of his busy schedule to answer some of my quesitons. Hear what he had to say below:
Hey Daddy Long Legs, what's up? How's it going?
Very good, busy as ever but loving life!
First and foremost for Darkside Newz readers that aren't familiar with your group 'WOLFPAC' could you just give us a brief summary of what it is you guys do and what you are about?
WOLFPAC is fundamentally what you would get if you mixed The WuTang Clan with The Misfits and then added some sprinklings of my former band The Bloodhound Gang in there with a pinch of our good friends The Insane Clown Posse. Now mix that all up in a sharp blender, add some crack cocaine and a bit of RedRum and bingo you have WOLFPAC!
I understand the group has been through several lineup changed over the years. Can you just confirm who are the official WOLFPAC members?
WOLFPAC works differently in that there is never a set structure. It’s a huge family that we pull from and work from when doing different projects. There is the core of the group, then the members who work close and then there are the members that work as the extended family. It’s a constant changing and evolving entity, in all actually it’s more like a virus in that we mutate often adding one element here removing one there to suite what is needed when it’s needed.
It’s been a good number of years since your last few years since your last studio album 'evil is...' was released. What is the reason for the huge gap and when can fans expect to hear a new WOLFPAC album?
Sever factors were at play here, one of which is we wanted to explore other aspects of our production company. Things like touring the complete USA a few times spreading our grass roots audience, producing six volumes of an AVN award nominated DVD series called "The Girls of WOLFPAC" along with our own super hot adult web site girlsofwolfpac.com not to mention a off shoot horror inspired clothing line Bware Clothing and putting a reality TV pilot into full production, we didn't feel the need to get into the studio till things where just right. Further with the upheaval that has been going on within the music industry we wanted to wait till the dust settled and until independent artists would have all the tools they needed to be able to put out there music without the need of a major label, which just now really seems to be doable as long as you can back your own play. With everything coming together it seemed the time to unleash our new album "Square Peg Round Hole" on the globe!
That's great. Long overdue. How will this album differ from your previous work?
I think the difference you will hear is a more developed sound. What we did on "Evil is..." is similar to what we have here on "Square Peg Round Hole", but there is a good bit of growth in sound, style and polishing. The other thing is because things have been going well for us and we are happy in our direction there are a few more light hearted tracks on this album as opposed to "Evil is" that's not to say we left anything out from the last time, it’s all in there baby there is just a bit more of a spectrum of flavor then the last time around.

Do you still stay in contact with Jimmy Pop from your old band 'Bloodhound Gang' and do you ever regret leaving the band?
I never regret a thing, live is too short and everything happens for a reason! Jimmy and I as well as DJ Q- Ball and Evil Jared all are good friends. Because of how the entertainment industry and personal lives work we don't get to see each other nearly enough but there is nothing but love! In fact DJ Q-Ball and I have been working on an odd music side project we are tentatively calling "Operation Dim Mak"! We just got done filming a video for the first track called "Don't Mess Around With The Guy Who Drinks Alone" which both the single and video will be available on our label SugarDaddy Records.
You have made it clear in the past that you are a proud Juggalo what are your feelings on the recent decision by the FBI to label Juggalos as a gang, up there with the Bloods and Crips?
Hell to the yes I am a very proud Juggalo and have been since I found out about the band oh so long ago when I was still doing shows with Bloodhound Gang. Somewhere along the way I happen to be told about them by a fan and that they were this dope rap group I needed to check out. At a local music shop in MI I picked up a copy of the Ringmaster and I have been down with the clown ever since! I think what the FBI is doing here is a fucking joke! An absolute waste of resources on the part of our tax payer’s money and is ridiculous! It just goes to show what an absolute out of touch and clueless as fuck administration our current president is running. Nothing more than a federal level shakedown of a group of people who have actually made their mark the American way, HARD FUCKING WORK and the entrepreneurial spirit! Why wouldn't the Obama buffoons and the idiots under him hate that? It is an affront to everything our current administration believes in and teaches! No wonder they want to try to use their tools (IRS, FBI, ECT) to destroy them and their fan base! Fuck the FBI.
It is also no secret that you have strong political views, how do you feel Obama has helped your country since he took power?
The only thing Obama has helped is to wake people up to how his administration and parties who align themselves with are nothing more than liars, crooks and elitist pieces of shit whom will do anything they can to destroy the American system and usurp our Constitutional freedoms. He is not just an American problem, Just Google "Agenda 21" But here he and his liberal lunatics have indirectly galvanized a core movement in our country we have not seen since the likes of 1776! He and his cronies have sounded the wakeup call for many, the "sleeping giant" Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto warned about is awake and things I think are about to get very interesting! Let’s just say I want to see a 2016 Rand Paul / Allen West ticket!
WOLFPAC is known for their electric live performances. In your history in the music industry what is the craziest experience you have ever had?
Brother, man I wish I could answer this one to the fullest! I have a very interesting tails all of which would end me incriminating myself. Most of which including porn stars, guns, criminal promoters, fire, karaoke and body fluids. It’s safe to say I have seen some things, but on the flip side of that coin, a lot of life on the road and so on can be boring too, lots of sitting around and just chilling. So don't get it twisted, it goes to both extremes, just know in this industry, especial in the WOLFPAC camp we live more in a month then most do in a lifetime, and for that I am truly blessed to have the opportunities I have on a day to day basis.
Do you have any plans of coming to the UK in the future? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure you have attempted to in the past but for one reason or another it feel through (supporting Vanilla Ice and a headline show both fell through from what I remember?)
Well we would love to come to the UK again! We bounced out there one time but had a complication with our working permits and the promoter so let’s just say the stay was shortened. But we did get to bounce around, visit Kerrang! and so on and loved what we saw! My mother is hooked on watching both "Eastenders" and "Coronation Street" since the mid 1980's so I've been bombarded with the UK soap opera culture since a kid, besides I am a direct blood relative of Charles "The Hammer" Martel so it think I get a free 'I went to the UK" T-shirt or something like that!
Thanks a lot for your time. Finally do you have anything to say to your UK fans and the readers of Darkside Newz?
Well thank you for having me and thank you for reading my long as boring interview! Very fresh of you and make sure you not only check out our new album but make sure you buy and support all of the independent artists you enjoy, it’s important to support the art you love and that fuels you day to day. If you dig what they do, back it! Hope to see you soon UK!
